Grimm's Land Management is based in the Burlington area and works across Alamance County and the surrounding Piedmont Triad. We know the local ground — the heavy Piedmont clay, the mixed pine and hardwood stands, and the aggressive invasive growth like privet, honeysuckle, and kudzu that takes over a property season after season.

Communities we serve

Our primary market is Burlington and Alamance County, North Carolina, and the surrounding region.

[CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED] — confirm the exact list of towns/communities you serve (for example, within Alamance County and neighboring areas). We’ll list only the areas you actually cover; we won’t invent service locations.

Why local matters for land clearing

Land clearing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and local knowledge shows in the results. Working the Piedmont means understanding how this soil holds water, which trees are worth preserving, and how fast the invasive undergrowth here comes back. That’s the difference between land that stays open and land that’s a thicket again in two seasons.

Response time & scheduling

We’ll respond to estimate requests [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED]. Our business hours are [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED]. Once your work is scheduled, we’ll confirm the date with you. Because this work depends on ground and weather conditions, heavy rain, wet or unsafe ground, or other conditions may require us to reschedule. If that happens, we’ll contact you as soon as possible and get you back on the calendar promptly.

If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know as soon as you can. [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: if you have a cancellation or deposit policy, state it here; otherwise remove this line.]

Getting your site ready

To keep your job safe and on schedule, we ask that you confirm and, if needed, mark your property lines; make sure our equipment can access the work area; let us know about anything on or under the property we should avoid (see below); and keep people, pets, and vehicles clear of the work area while we’re on site.

Property lines, underground utilities & safety

[ATTORNEY REVIEW RECOMMENDED BEFORE LAUNCH] — This is a plain-language summary. The binding version belongs in your signed work agreement.

Underground utilities — what we do. Before ground-disturbing work, we arrange a public utility locate through North Carolina 811, as required by law. This marks public utility lines — such as gas, electric, water, and communications — so we can work around them. We take reasonable care to avoid marked lines.

Underground utilities — what we need from you. A public locate does not mark private lines. Before we begin, please tell us about, and mark the location of, any private or unmarked lines and systems — which may include septic tanks and drain fields, private water or well lines, irrigation or sprinkler lines, invisible/underground pet fences, propane lines, and private electric or utility lines running to barns, wells, pumps, or outbuildings. If a line or system isn’t publicly locatable and you don’t tell us about it, we can’t be responsible for damage to it.

Property lines and boundaries. You’re responsible for confirming and, where needed, marking your property boundaries so we clear only the area you own and intend. If you’re unsure of a boundary, please have it identified before we begin.

Damage. If we damage a properly marked or disclosed line despite reasonable care, we’ll follow our work agreement and involve our insurance where appropriate. We are not responsible for damage to lines, systems, or objects that were not disclosed, not marked, or hidden below the surface where they could not reasonably be found.

Debris. [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: state how you handle debris — e.g., mulched material is left on site as ground cover; hauling of debris is available for an additional charge.]

Safety on site. For everyone’s safety, please keep people, children, pets, and vehicles well clear of the work area while our equipment is operating. Flying debris and moving machinery make the work zone dangerous.

Permits. Some clearing or grading work may require a permit or must follow local erosion-control rules. [CLIENT INPUT REQUIRED: state who is responsible for permits — e.g., the property owner is responsible for confirming and obtaining any required permits, or: we’ll advise on permits that apply to your project.] We’re happy to point you to the right local office.
